
Students sometimes worry whether they should go for the College Board SAT test or the ACT. You should know about the differences and similarities between the two tests before deciding which one to choose. - Both SAT and ACT are admission college tests that gauge your academic readiness for college based on what you learned in school.
- Both tests are accepted by most four year colleges in the US.

- Top score in SAT is 1600 while top score in ACT is 36.
- Both tests are around 3 hours in length.
- SAT has Math and Reading/Writing sections. ACT has Math, Reading, English/Writing and Science Sections.
- Both tests have curriculum focused content.
- SAT has calculator-permitted and not-permitted Math sections. Calculator use is allowed in the Math section in ACT.
